Adult Group Classes

We offer 4 types of Adult Group Classes:

General Classes, Conversation Classes, Holiday Classes and Specialty Classes

All classes are held as hybrid classes, either in-person only, or remotely only using Zoom, or both in-person and using zoom.

 

General Regular Classes

 

General Classes are interactive classes based on language competency levels as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).  General classes may use a textbook.

We offer 3 General Class sessions per year:

  1. The Fall Session from September 12 through November 20, 2022

  2. The Winter January 9 through March 19, 2023

  3. The Spring Session from March 27 through June 04, 2023

General Regular Classes are enrolled and priced in 10-week sessions for a total of 30 hours for 3 hours, 90-minutes twice a week or for a total of 20 hours for 2 hours once per week - and may use a textbook.

Tuition fees : $510 for 30h or $340 for 20h-  discount of 5% for early bird registrations applied
Textbook (hardcopy) estimated at $60

You will need about 90 to 100 hours to complete the A1 level,  90 to 100 additional hours to complete the A2 level, and additional 180 hours to complete each of the B1, B2, and C levels.

Conversation Classes

Conversation classes meet once a week for 1 hour or 1.5 hours and follow the same sessions as General Regular Classes

Conversation Classes are enrolled and priced in 10-week sessions for a total of 10 hours for 60-minutes or 90-minutes once a week and are not using any textbook.

Tuition fees : $170 for 10h or $255 for 15h - discount of 5% for early bird registrations applied

Holidays Classes

Holidays Classes are open in-between Regular classes sessions and meet only once a week for 60 minutes or 90 minutes, usually open on demand.

We offer 3 Holiday Classes: December Holiday classes, July Summer Classes and August Summer Classes.

Holidays Classes are conversation classes that are enrolled and priced in 4-week programs for a total of 4 hours to 6 hours. The Holidays classes are independent to the general regular classes. 

Tuition fees : $68 for 4h or $102 for 6h- no discount applied on Holiday classes

Specialty Classes

Specialty classes are short, thematic classes held remotely on zoom.

Themes range from literature, art, history and music, to specific aspects of the French language, and even Francophone Cuisine. 

Some Specialty Classes are taught in English and are designed for Beginners.

Some are taught entirely in French and are designed for more advanced students.

Specialty Classes are enrolled in 2 or 4-week programs for a total of 4 hours.

Some Specialty classes are organized by Alliance Française of Raleigh.
