Special Fundraiser for the Democratic Republic of Congo

GOFUNDME CONGO

GoFundMe to support and advocate for the education and empowerment of girls in the school named Dipa dia Nzambi in Kananga in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) .

Any donation is a great donation. Start at $5 or $10, and donate more if you can.

Projects with our partner at Myers Park Presbyterian Church

  • The construction of the girls’ school – Dipa dia Nzambi in Kananga  was completed in 2012.

  • Since 2012, there are ongoing support of Dipa dia Nzambi through scholarships, teacher training, operational funds, and various capital projects.

 

Our AF project: Enhancing the quality of French Education of young girls in Dipa dia Nzambi school in DRC.

To improve the quality of teaching and learning after purchasing 

* French textbooks for all seventh and eighth grade classes (about 100 textbooks for about $1,500) and,

* French teaching materials for the teachers (up to $3,500).

Kalonji Mulumba  President of Charlotte Congolese Community

Dr Ngoie Joel Nshisso (photo)

Former President of Congolese Community and founder of Congolese Patriot - a local NGO in Charlotte.

Dr Nshisso will present on his country and the importance of education for the girls in DRC today.

Our goal is also to support the Congolese community in Charlotte, to help with networking and showcasing their local businesses. Come and meet them.

Alliance Française is committed to donate all proceeds to the fundraiser to the project.

The registration to the event will cover the food and rental expenses. 100 percent of Alliance Française sales as well as both individual and GoFundMe donations  benefit the Congolese project.
