Information Day on Tuesday May 19 at 6pm
at the Olde Meckenburg Brewery South end at 4150 Yancey Rd, Charlotte, NC 28217
Join us at camp for a fascinating and exciting week where ecology, preservation, renewability, and biodiversity come alive — all through the French language!
🧒👦 For children ages 4–14, currently in 4 different classes (minimum 4 "cycles")
📅 June 15–19, 2026 | 9am - 4pm (day camp with the possibilities for extended hours: 8am to 5pm)
📍 Myers Park Baptist Church: Education Building, Campus & Playground at Charlotte, no outside field trip.
🌱 What can one expect of this adventure each day:
* Half the day = Academic French Fun (Vocabulary, stories, science-in-French, hands‑on learning)
* Half the day = Activities & Exploration (Nature missions, crafts, games, outdoor challenges)
* ALL of it = 100% in French
(No experience needed — just curiosity! And a little of French)
Kids / teens will put on their Nature Detective caps, exploring themes of ecology, preservation, renewability, and biodiversity through daily outings and activities that focus on water cycles, composting, the food chain, climate, recycling, and more. Exploring the possibility of a farm animal visits such as rabbits and a goat. Let us know if your child has any animal allergies.
Lunch are NOT included. During lunch time, healthy eating habits will be discussed. Complimentary snacks and drinks offered.
4 levels of learning are proposed, offered to LPE students, students in French immersion or bilingual program, French or Francophone students.
A minimum of French is required. Let us know if your child has no experience in French and is interested in the camp.
Adapted to various abilities of learning : each class will run with a minimum of 4 students per class, and a maximum of 10-12 students per class depending on the level.
Large classes / cycles may be split into smaller classes based on age or/and French level.
Cycle 1: from 4 to 6 years old (preschoolers, kindergarten)
Cycle 2: from 6 to 9 years old (grade 1 to 3)
Cycle 3: from 9 to 11 years old (grade 3 to 5)
Cycle 4: from 11 to 14 years old (grade 6 to 8)
